Randall Bramblett – Music of the South Series

November 14, 2012 @ 12:00 AM – 2:00 AM

Randall Bramblett has been a much sought after songwriter and multi-instrumentalist sideman over the years.  Early on with Capricorn Records, he joined Sea Level with Chuck Leavell and did a year long tour with Gregg Allman.  From there, he embarked on a path as a big-league, musical utility man and landed on the speed dial of some of the greatest names in rock history, including Steve Winwood (16 yrs), Levon Helm, and Warren Haynes.

Randall’s solo career began in the mid ‘70s with two critically acclaimed albums on Polydor Records and continues to the present with his releases on New West Records.  His talent as a songwriter is well documented and his songs have been recorded by folks like Bonnie Raitt, Widespread Panic, Jorma Kaukonen, Bonnie Bramlett, Delbert McClinton and more.

Now with a large body of work to his credit, Randall’s songwriting and band are getting as much attention as his musicianship with other top players.  His shows are a gourmet feast for the senses and not to be missed.

“Randall is the most talented and prolific songwriter I have the privilege of knowing.”     Bill Berry – R.E.M.

“One of the South’s most lyrical and literate songwriters.”   Rolling Stone
